MED_A_Hilbert to ALL
[ it's Dr. Grumpus, bothering everybody about medical crap again! ]
Now that we have two medical officers awake and have recently returned from an alien planet, basic check-ups will be re-implemented. Check-ups will be BASIC: a P-HYMN-1.A scan, check on bracelet, and basic questions. These are mandatory for all crew members. There are only a handful of us, it is small ship, do not make me come and find you.
There is no set schedule for check-ups yet, as the moment I set schedule, it will inevitably have to be changed thanks to an off-planet visit or emotional manipulation from giant space alien or whatever will be thrown at us. Needless to say, after any ship-wide event affecting all or multiple members of the crew, you will at least undergo basic once-over.
As always, feel free to ask myself or Dr. Baizhu for assistance should you develop pains, unexplained symptoms, or deviance from the norm.
I also would like to thank crew members for continued assistance with the quarantine process involved in providing medicine to Captain Drake. Anyone who wishes to join that roster, please reply here.
I hope that is all. Please do not do anything that gives me cause to make shipwide announcement.

[Wait for it. He keeps joking about those colossal space squids for some reason. There might be something subliminal going on in his head there...
(OOC and I might have just put in for a regain haha.)]

( ooc: lmao rip to Zaeed's sanity )

But... yeah. Giant. Robotic. Calamari. With Space Lasers that destroyed buildings. This... was a fucking thing officially.]
God...damned... space... squids.
[His voice came through clenched teeth as he was clearly fighting to come back from it.]

Please tell me you did not suddenly receive memory of dealing with space squids, [ says the person who suspects that just happened. ]

[He realized how rigid his bodily stance was after a moment. Breathing slowly, he started to calm himself before finally speaking again. there was a quiver in his fingers and his jaw was set hard, but he was coming back.]
Spaceships or robot spacesquids. About the size of the Mnemosyne, maybe half its size. Army of them assaulting London of all fucking places. And one absolute fucking beast hovering over the city, easily 2k in length. It was a god-damned war zone.
I've been to London. Never saw anything like that before, but they'd fucked Big Ben up something fierce.

All he can do for a moment is just stare, taking in what Zaeed is saying before, ]
Well. That is...certainly something. These memories, hallucinations, whatever they might be, cover wide array of actions.

...because there were fucking cyber zombies. Why the hell were there not be ... where the hell did they get all of this shit and jam it in my head? [He grunted and rubbed his temple.]
I'd say that we were getting some movie wired to our heads in our sleep, but we couldn't find any of this anywhere.

...it'd feel more god-damned real.

Which brings up new question. Why give us what we have received? What is pattern? Because something like this, there must be a pattern—refuse to believe it is entirely arbitrary.

[He turned and looked Hilbert in the eye as he said it. There was a concern there, a slightly unhinged thought.]
What if these are some sort of cosmic god-damned accident and L3TH3 has nothing to do with it?
no subject
[ Besides, in Hilbert's mind, it's way more likely that L3TH3 or a different telepathic alien or something is doing this to them. This can't be an accident. He doesn't want to think it's an accident. If someone is doing this to them, he can figure out who and why and he can stop it. ]

...we honest to god don't actually know a hell of a lot. Though I don't think it was the whale. Was seeing these before then.

[ Based on Hilbert's tone, 'irritating' is a nice way of saying 'aggravating as fuck.' ]
It would be useful if we all had shared symptoms or some other unifying factor other than 'new memories.' But we do not. Even memories do not have unifying factor—I have mentioned names appearing in mine to multiple people, received nothing in return.

...
Actually, I might just regret it if we ever do find out.
no subject
Have not heard of Reaper. But you are right. I want to find out, but at same time...do not know what would happen if I did.
no subject
Suppose they're real memories. What would that mean?
no subject
[ but it's obvious that Hilbert is trying to convince himself more than anything else. ]
What it would mean is transdimensional reach. Near perfect amnesia. Things like that cannot happen.
no subject
You're right of course. That's just god damned science fiction.
[He didn't sound any more sure himself.]
For now... I'm just going to try and cope. No point trying to sedate myself. Won't really help.
