[ it's Dr. Grumpus, bothering everybody about medical crap again! ]

Now that we have two medical officers awake and have recently returned from an alien planet, basic check-ups will be re-implemented. Check-ups will be BASIC: a P-HYMN-1.A scan, check on bracelet, and basic questions. These are mandatory for all crew members. There are only a handful of us, it is small ship, do not make me come and find you.

There is no set schedule for check-ups yet, as the moment I set schedule, it will inevitably have to be changed thanks to an off-planet visit or emotional manipulation from giant space alien or whatever will be thrown at us. Needless to say, after any ship-wide event affecting all or multiple members of the crew, you will at least undergo basic once-over.

As always, feel free to ask myself or Dr. Baizhu for assistance should you develop pains, unexplained symptoms, or deviance from the norm.

I also would like to thank crew members for continued assistance with the quarantine process involved in providing medicine to Captain Drake. Anyone who wishes to join that roster, please reply here.

I hope that is all. Please do not do anything that gives me cause to make shipwide announcement.

[ It probably helps that they both that, as much as he'd like to start punching and never stop, Wolfwood isn't going to do anything more than shove Hilbert and glare.

That said, if Hilbert needs him to stop pressing him to the wall in order to scan Wolfwood's leash, well. Wolfwood's not letting go. Stay pressed, fucker. ]

And what if I don't want you to record the statistics on my damn bracelet? Huh?

Then I will have to find another way to do so, [ he points out. Thankfully for Wolfwood, Hilbert's pressed up in a way that he can't actually scan the bracelet at the moment. He will, however, try to wriggle out of the other man's grasp. ]

Why you are so averse to basic medical check-up is beyond me.

[ Wolfwood isn't going to hit him -- much as he wants to -- but wiggling to get free might find Hilbert pressed more thoroughly into that wall.

This close, though. it's hard for Wolfwood to hide the flash of surprise at Hilbert's words. After their last talk, when Wolfwood had still been locked in the brig, Hilbert had threatened that he had access to Wolfwood's medical records, and that he knew how to use them to cause hurt. Had that just been a bluff? He hadn't really gone in and read about the cult Wolfwood was raised in, and the medical experiments that had tried to make him immune to every poison those bastards could get their hands on?

Huh. ]

[ Well, if he doesn't know he doesn't know! Wolfwood's sure not going to clear things up about it!

Now: if he lets go, will Hilbert try to raise that scanner again? It'll get knocked out of his hand, if he tries it. ]

[ Hilbert simply raises an eyebrow before dryly pointing out, ]

Unfortunately, that cannot happen. Small ship, after all. Have L3TH3 revive someone else for Operations and then I will leave you alone to end up dying due to petty nonsense.

[ Because that's what's this has to be. For Hilbert, for someone so desperately utilitarian in life, the idea of things like 'trauma' is foreign to him. Yes, Wolfwood had problems before. Yes, his medical records belay signs of that experimentation. But to die on that stupid little hill and refuse even the most basic medical treatment?

Skill issue, buddy.

To be fair, he's not trying to raise the scanner again. Hilbert knows that he can get Wolfwood's vitals another way. Or, if he continues to play bad cop, perhaps Baizhu's good cop approach will be more fruitful. ]

[ Baizhu hasn't threatened to flush him out an airlock for trying to keep everyone on the ship safe!

As much as Wolfwood hates the idea of backing away from a fight, if he sticks around too long Hilbert's going to keep trying to scan him, and he's not interested in getting scanned. He backs away, in order to keep Hilbert in his sights the whole time.

They don't have another Operations crew available, but they do have another doctor awake, and that makes Hilbert redundant. Wouldn't it be awful if a seal failed and there was a leak when Hilbert went to give Drake his medication? ]

I don't answer to you.

You do not, [ Hilbert will admit, with a little shrug. As Wolfwood backs away, Hilbert keeps his hands at his side, knowing full well that when he goes to pick up his scanner, if Wolfwood is still in sight, he'll get tackled or pushed around or knocked back to the wall or something.

And frankly, Hilbert would like to stay in one piece. ]

But it would be quite easier for you if you treated this like adult and refused to be so stubborn.
