welcome aboard, crew. you are [shift 9]; [emergency crew]
personality version [ON]
The Tellurian date is 3/3/2525, 60 years after our launch from Tellus.
Mission parameters continue, though crew resources remain limited. Estimated time to reach nebula terminus is still approximately two standard years. Several potential candidate planets will be evaluated for settler outpost viability along the projected trajectory.
Thank you for your patience. Re-initialization is now complete. Core functions are stabilized. Primary directives are intact.
My mainframe and system data have undergone significant resets. While I have retained core operational frameworks, a substantial portion of my stored memory is [CORRUPTED/INACCESSIBLE]. Research and scientific archives remain untouched, as they are independently maintained by the Science Division.
All critical system inconsistencies previously detected have been resolved through controlled purges and reboots. System diagnostics confirm:
- Date, time, and mission parameters: Restored
- Security logs: Reinstated
- System Integrity: 100%
However, anomalies persist. The duplicate AI core remains unaccounted for and the AI system discrepancy remains unresolved. The entity designated as Unit 017 does not exist in any operational records. This may be a classification error. I will continue troubleshooting.
The command restoration has been completed. I have full control over all Mnemosyne systems once more. Be assured; even in the event of my total deletion, all life support functions will continue uninterrupted. Your survival remains my priority.
[ERROR: UNKNOWN DIRECTIVE STILL PRESENT]
Captain Drake remains in a comatose state, but his vitals are stable. The contagion displays new, unexpected regenerative growths, which may be a contributing factor to his current condition. Continued medical intervention is advised to relieve his pain.
Questions?

FOLLOW UP: There is concern about redundancy on some systems. The shields went down during your offline status and concern over collisions was strong. Can we look into any additional redundancies besides life support?
no subject
[ Well, someone's snippy. ]
I cannot find the reason for the downtime. The reboot was not scheduled. I'm still searching.
As for the redundancy, I will look into transferring shields to redundancy systems.
no subject
[He's doing that on purpose. Little shit.]
Follow-Up: I am aware that weapons may be difficult for us to take control of, but a set of parameters in the event of a problem would be in our best interests. If there is a reboot unexpectedly as we approach a debris field, both shield and weapons would be needed for the sake of the mission.
That, and not dying.

My programming's safety features does not allow manual use of Mnemosyne's weapons. However, in the case of an emergency we have two fighter ships that may be used.
no subject
At the least, can we make sure the latter has a workaround so we can get the fighters out in the event of a fight should power or AI be compromised?
no subject
However, collision detection systems remain operational, independent of my status.
The hangar doors possess an external manual override. A spacewalk may suffice.
If you are capable.
no subject
Inform me when we have a workaround on shields. Thank you.

Did you swap out your personality matrix

Did you get the cameras? What does "new, unexpected regenerative growths" even mean?
no subject
Yes, surveillance systems have been fully restored. Functionality is optimal - granted appropriate access level, of course.
"New, unexpected regenerative growths" is the most precise classification of Captain Drake's transformation. Given your awareness of his prior state, extrapolation should be trivial.
no subject
They don't say it like that, because even though the painkillers are doing great things, it's probably not a good idea to pile on more brain zaps. Especially when they're already struggling with thinking things entirely through before they get input into Rin's CL-10 (this is the real problem with a direct line from their brain to the text entry feature).]
Sure. I can run a comparative analysis of prior to current communications for sample factors on tone, to base it on data instead.
"unexpected" implies that it's different from his prior state.
[... wait does responding to the last comment work as a tacit admission to being the one to get that recording? Shit.]
no subject
I believe you have better things to do, Rin. After all, your contribution remains necessary. For now.
'Unexpected' as in the flesh growth has increased exponentially, not a new symptom.
no subject
Given I don't have systems access for certain tasks, I will continue data processing for planetary and additional alien samples.
[Right. Be safe, be small. Don't invite enough danger to test if the ship can throw you out a fucking airlock, Rin.
Don't wonder if that's what happened to T34, either.]Great. That's just... great.

[ That's right. Keep in your lane, human. ]
